Description
A 2-day, 1-night climb of Misti Volcano (5,822 masl), one of the seven active volcanoes of the Central Andes Volcanic Zone, located just 17 km in a straight line from the Arequipa Cathedral. The 15 km route passes by the Aguada Blanca dam before reaching base camp and ascending to the crater, which has fumarolic activity.

Itinerary
- Day 1: pickup from your hotel between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. and about a 3-hour 4x4 transfer to the trailhead.
- Gradual ascent of about 3 hours, with views of the Aguada Blanca dam (4,230 masl) and its birds, including flamingos.
- Arrival at base camp (4,700–4,800 masl), setting up, and lunch/dinner around 4:00 p.m.
- Afternoon spent with the group, with our guide sharing stories about the Misti and Chachani volcanoes.
- Day 2: ascent begins at 1:00 a.m., after breakfast, lasting 6 to 7 hours to the summit (5,822 masl), where you can observe the crater with fumarolic activity.
- Spectacular views of the city of Arequipa and the surrounding valley from the top.
- A descent of about 2 hours to base camp, followed by the transfer back to Arequipa.

- Personal medication and trekking poles
- Waterproof jacket or poncho (December–April)
