Description
Full-day tour to the Pillones Waterfall and the Puruña Stone Forest, within the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve: a high-Andean landscape that is stark yet striking, with spectacular rock formations and unique flora and fauna.

Itinerary
- Pickup from the hotel between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m.
- About a 2-hour drive to the trailhead, stopping at the town of Pampa de Arrieros, formerly the entrance to the city for those arriving by train.
- A 30-minute descent on foot down a rocky slope alongside a river to the Pillones Waterfall (arrival around 11:00 a.m.); 45 minutes on site for photos.
- 12:30 p.m.: hike to the Puruña Stone Forest.
- Lunch in Patahuasi featuring trout and/or alpaca crackling.
- Return to Arequipa, arriving around 4:00 p.m.
